The Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) held public hearings June 27 to 29 on the upcoming negotiations of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

The public hearings follow USTR’s 90-day notification to Congress on May 18, 2017 regarding intent to renegotiate NAFTA as well as USTR’s Federal Register notice published May 23, 2017 requesting public comment.

The second panel to be heard included representatives of the National Council of Textile Organizations, the U.S. Fashion Industry Association, American Apparel and Footwear Association, VF Corporation, Rubber and Plastic Footwear Manufacturers Association, the National Cotton Council, and Hunter Douglas.
