In many countries micro, small and medium-sized enterprises are responsible for the bulk of job creation, economic dynamism, and innovation. But most times they do not participate in trade and in the global economy to a level that matches their potential. Carole Kariuki, CEO of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), and Kati Suominen, Founder and CEO, Nextrade and TradeUp, talk with the World Trade Organization’s Keith Rockwell about what can be done to support these SMEs in fully integrating into global trade.
