Schindellegi / CH – Merck Sharp & Dohme, (MSD) one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, has extended its contract with Kuehne + Nagel in Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and North America for overland transportation for another two years.

Since 2012 MSD has used KN PharmaChain, a specialized supply chain-solution designed for the needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Within the scope of the cooperation Kuehne + Nagel continues to manage truckload and less-than-truckload temperature-controlled services for pharmaceutical products across the EMEA region and within North America.

Kuehne + Nagel also organizes and executes the transportation of palletized pharmaceuticals from MSD’s manufacturing sites in Europe and North America to their global distribution centers. There, MSD products are managed and controlled by a dedicated team of Kuehne + Nagel pharmaceuticals specialists in an environment specially designed to meet the GXP guidelines.
