To encourage new international cargo flights and expand business opportunities, GRU Airport Cargo, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, launched a GRU incentives program giving 100-percent landing fee exemption from March 27th, 2016 to March 25th, 2017, for cargo only operations.

Airlines interested in joining the program must meet minimum requirements, such operating a new regular route between GRU and a country in Africa, North America, Asia, Europe or Oceania. In order to qualify to the incentive operations must be outside peak hours and take place at least once a week with monthly regularity of at least 80 percent.

Applicants must apply to the incentive by e-mail at incentivo@gru.com.br. The document can be requested by email and will soon be available on the website www.grucargo.com.br.

GRU Airport Cargo closed 2015 with two-percent market share growth in international air cargo. In 2014, the airport’s market share was 36 percent and last year it increased to 38 percent, including both imports and exports, consolidating its position as the largest air cargo terminal in Brazil.
