Bolloré Logistics USA partnered with Boots for Africa to hand over 400 pairs of shoes to the flood victims  in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), a coastal South African province, on July 4th, 2022. Bolloré Logistics  sponsored the transport and logistics requirements of the Boots for Africa initiative. 

Boots for Africa is an organization dedicated to collecting and distributing pre-loved sports shoes/gear  to African countries, equipping and empowering promising athletes in under-resourced communities.  They have been dedicated to this goal since 2007 and in the past 15 years, have assisted over 39,000  children in 11 African countries to reach their full potential and overcome adversity.  

The partnership started a 5 years ago with Bolloré Logistics South Africa and have since then donated  over 9000 pairs of shoes and 1800 other sporting items (tennis, hockey, golf, etc.). More recently, the  organization has received additional support from Bolloré Logistics agencies in Europe and now  expanding this partnership to North America. 

The boots and shoes were collected in San Francisco and New York and stored by Bolloré Logistics  New York who facilitated all the customs logistics, and then transported the boots to Johannesburg,  where they were stored in a warehouse until the handover.  

Boots for Africa is now partnering with Bolloré Logistics Canada for the next shipments of soccer boots  that have been collected in Vancouver. The majority of the boots are pink and will all go towards the  girls.
