According to a Bloomberg report, discussions are set to encompass trade, economic and national security issues, including the status of ByteDance Ltd.’s TikTok, which faces a deadline this week to reach a deal ensuring its continued operations in the US. The talks, led by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and China’s Vice Premier He Lifeng, are also expected to lay the groundwork for a potential meeting between President of the United States Donald Trump and Xi Jinping next month.
