  • With Semarang as destination airport, lead time for deliveries in Central Java has been reduced by one day.
  • PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia offering to Semarang means that road transportation from Jakarta is no longer necessary.
  • PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia offers end-to-end import services in Semarang, from airport arrival to customer delivery.

PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia has launched an air import operation at Semarang Airport (Achmad Yani International Airport).

Services being provided include customs clearance and delivery services.

The move allows PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia to operate its own air import and export services in Semarang and also to create a system offering an integrated logistics service to the Central Java region, combining ocean freight forwarding and contract logistics.

Located about 310 miles east of Jakarta, Semarang, the capital of Central Java, has seen an increase in investment by labor-intensive industries such as automobiles and clothing due to factors such as the wage level, and logistics requirements have increased accordingly. Previously, when delivering to customers in Central Java such as in Semarang, it was necessary to carry out import customs clearance at Jakarta Airport and adopt land transportation for delivery to Semarang. However, with the aim of developing a transportation route capable of providing solutions for urgent deliveries, PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia has launched its own import operation at Semarang Airport and strengthened its supply chain.

With Semarang Airport as the destination airport, the lead time has been reduced by approximately one day thanks to integrated operations including both import customs clearance and delivery, and the fact that road transportation from Jakarta is no longer necessary.

PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia is now able to offer end-to-end import services from arrival at the airport to delivery to the customer, and aims to increase the quality of transportation along with offering transport management controls such as freight status tracking at airport bonded area, customs clearance, and supervised vehicle loading.
