3PL service provider Lynden International has acquired Haas Industries to enhance its network and services throughout the Lower 48 and Canada.

The acquisition “strengthens Lynden’s capabilities for home delivery, trade show, and specialized delivery services within those markets,” says John Kaloper, vice president of Lynden’s America Division. Haas will operate under the Lynden International name.

“Lynden and Haas are a great fit and the combination of our two companies will allow us to continue building our domestic service portfolio,” adds Kaloper. “Our organizations also share common values and attributes—both believe in building strong partnerships with customers—which will produce a seamless integration of our companies.”

According to a company state, “the combined operation will add 26 company-owned and operated service centers that offer local support and customer service in most major metropolitan areas across North America, as well as a worldwide communication center that provides centralized communications and greater control of customers’ freight to Lynden’s service profile.”

Haas Industries began operations in 1989 as a freight forwarder, distribution and customized logistics provider.

“Over that time, we’ve forged many long-term partnerships with clients, but ultimately we believe our vision has been achieved. Now is the time to create a new vision; one that produces even greater opportunities for our employees, associates and, most importantly, our customers,” says Keith Haas, president of Hayward, California-based Haas.

Earlier this year, Seattle-headquartered Lynden International opened a new 65,000 square-foot distribution facility in Milton, Ontario, Canada, its third such warehouse in Canada, and a Service Center in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
