LLamasoft Acquires Barloworld Supply Chain Software Division

LLamasoft, a supply chain software solutions company, has acquired Barloworld Logistics’ Supply Chain Software (SCS) division, including all technology, software applications, and the Barloworld SCS team across Europe and the U.S.

LLamasoft and Barloworld Logistics have also launched a strategic partnering initiative, intended to bring LLamasoft’s software and services to drive innovation and efficiencies through the supply chain operations of Barloworld Logistics’ customers worldwide.

The acquisition is part of its continued investment and growth in the supply chain design and planning software market. The acquisition does not cover Barloworld Logistics’ activities in South Africa and the UAE, where the two companies will work in partnership.
