Kuehne + Nagel expands Aerospace Hub in the Middle East

Third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel announced an expansion of its Dubai aerospace hub with its new customers Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and Avtrade.

Kuehne + Nagel provides warehousing and distribution services as well as spare parts logistics for the Middle East and Africa region out of the hub.

In line with the increasing presence and requirements of the aerospace industry, Kuehne + Nagel is further optimizing its customer support services in the region. From the Kuehne + Nagel Aerospace Hub in Dubai Logistics City, close to the Al Maktoum International Airport, the company offers a full scope of aerospace services including inspection, warehousing of aircraft and spare parts, and tooling as well as inbound and outbound logistics.

The Kuehne + Nagel Aerospace Hub offers frequent and short connections to the Middle East and Africa region as well as to other areas of the world.

“Our new distribution center is in a prime location to serve our customers,” said Derek Zimmerman, president of Gulfstream Product Support. “Al Maktoum International is projected to be the world’s largest airport and appears poised to become the preferred business aviation airport in the Dubai area. The state-of-the-art facility within the fast-cycle logistics environment of Dubai South will enable us to more efficiently address customer requirements.” Gulfstream, wholly owned by General Dynamics, manufactures and supports advanced business aircraft.
