JWD Infologistics Expanding in Southeast Asia

JWD Infologistics, a supplier of land-based logistics services, is building general and cold chain warehouses in Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos.

The company is also renovating an existing warehouse in Laem Chabang port, Thailand.

The expansion comes to cater to demands in the growing food retail markets in those countries.

The general and cold chain warehouses JWD is building in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia will occupy a total of nearly 70,000 square feet.

In Thailand, the company has renovated its existing warehouse to become a 97,000s square-foot containerized warehouse and distribution center. JWD also built a 65,000 square-foot distribution center for separation and loading of dangerous goods onto small trucks. Both of the Thailand facilities are expected to begin commercial operation in the first quarter of next year.

“We have developed the know-how and gained practical experiences for more than 35 years,” said Chavanin Bunditkitsada, the company’s CEO. “We have a competitive edge, thanks to our ability to develop and employ warehouse management software to ensure maximum efficiency.

“We can also become a leading player in the Asean region,” he added, “as we are investing in warehouse properties in neighboring countries and exploring the opportunities to establish equity partnerships or to execute merger and acquisition transactions as a way to enable us to achieve our goals.”

JWD has been in the logistics business for more than 35 years. Its business includes warehousing and management of general and dangerous goods and inland and cross-border transportation of goods. It I also involved in building and warehouse rental and information technology system development.

Funds for the warehouse developments come from a recent initial public offering.
