Airspace Technologies, a technology-enabled logistics company specializing in time-critical shipments, today announced that the company has joined the third cohort of startups for the Logistics Tech Accelerator, where the company will work hand-in-hand with corporate partners in a dedicated pilot program.

The accelerator is the result of a partnership between RocketSpace and Kaleido Logistics. The virtual program is the first of its kind logistics technology accelerator enabling startups and corporations to fuel cross-industry partnerships and set a new standard for logistics innovation.

Airspace Technologies automates transporting high-visibility shipments for some of America’s largest companies. The technology enables customers to verify, route and track time-critical shipments, in real-time, at every step in the distribution process.

The Logistics Tech Accelerator uses an open innovation model to draw from the diverse expertise of startups, leading industry experts and multiple corporate collaborators including Fiege, Ingram Micro, and Lufthansa Cargo, working together towards producing commercially viable products and go-to-market partnerships.

“The logistics world is rapidly changing and evolving,” said Xoán Martínez, Chief Executive Officer at Kaleido Logistics. “Without a doubt, transparency, integration and efficiency are key drivers. Selecting Airspace Technologies as one of the Logistics Tech Accelerator startups was easy because of its very smart approach to the full visibility solutions within the supply chain. Airspace offers a quick, disruptive approach and we are pleased to have them in this cohort.”

“Airspace Technologies was chosen for the Logistics Tech Accelerator for many reasons, top of which is their innovative approach to improving time-critical airfreight deliveries, as well as the impact we envisioned they would have within the program’s pilot projects,” said Duncan Logan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RocketSpace. “Our platform for growth attracts top talent, and we believe we have found that with the Airspace team.”

Carlsbad, California-based Airspace Technologies is joined by ZigZag Global, FullFill, Transmetrics, Eunimart and Traqui. Together the six participating startups represent five countries. Startups selected for the program are disrupting technology through smart warehousing, smart transport, smart commerce and smart trade. The accelerator helps selected startups scale by collaborating with established companies in the industry.

“The team at Airspace is thrilled to have been selected as one of six startups for this prestigious program,” said Nick Bulcao, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Airspace Technologies. “The Logistics Tech Accelerator offers extensive mentoring and feedback. Our collaboration has begun and we are already working hand-in-hand with corporate partners.”

To qualify for the program, startups must have a product in market or be ready to launch. Startups are not required to give up equity to participate.

The three-month long program will conclude with a demo day in early December.
