The launch addresses documented difficulties in cross-border trade. The 2026 FedEx Small Business Trade Index found that 68 percent of small and medium-sized businesses regularly encounter customers caught off guard by duties at delivery, while 60 percent report revenue losses from refunds or abandoned purchases.
Global Trade Navigator is intended to bring trade intelligence earlier into the shipping process, tackling challenges across planning, shipment preparation, checkout and reporting to lower complexity and raise predictability for businesses and their customers.
The tools are built to serve customers from small and medium-sized businesses trying international shipping for the first time to enterprises incorporating trade information into existing workflows.
Jason Brenner, Senior Vice President of Digital Portfolio at FedEx, characterized the solution as making essential trade information and guidance more accessible to businesses as they expand internationally, drawing on decades of global trade expertise to deliver fewer surprises and a more predictable shipping experience.
