Diplomats, Business Leaders, Exporters to Meet to Talk Pac Rim Consumer Opportunities
The Pacific Rim, a region spanning dozens of emerging and developed markets throughout Asia and Latin America, presents some of the best opportunities for U.S. exporters today. Much of the Asia Pacific region is at the forefront of major consumer trends that U.S. exporters need to understand: How are young consumers driving e-commerce in Southeast Asia? How is the burgeoning global middle class fueling demand for American-made products and services? What does China’s shift toward greater domestic consumption mean for exporters?
To be sure, U.S. firms are well positioned in the Pacific Rim region, where American-made products are known for quality, safety and reliability. Existing free trade agreements between the U.S. and markets like Singapore, Korea, Australia and Chile also offer preferential access to U.S. goods and services. And the new and ambitious Transpacific Partnership (TPP), encompassing 12 Pac Rim countries and 40 percent of the world’s economy, will offer even better access to Pacific Rim markets including Japan and Vietnam, among others.
To understand and address these opportunities—and challenges—business leaders and U.S. Commercial Diplomats from 24 Pacific Rim markets will share their first-hand, in-country expertise with exporters from throughout the country at Discover Global Markets, Pacific Rim Consumers conference in Orange County, CA, October 29-30.
The conference will host country and regional discussions focused on consumer trends in each market, and explore cross-cutting themes such as ecommerce, fashion and growing demand for lifestyle products and services. Exporters will also have the opportunity for pre-scheduled consultations and customized market entry advice from in-country specialists from over two dozen markets. In addition to high-level keynote presentations and extensive networking, attendees will have access to an impressive lineup of international buyers from throughout the region including: leading e-commerce platforms, distributors and department stores who are attending in order to meet U.S. suppliers as well as conduct informational sessions about their product interests.
Featured industries include many of the top prospects for the region like franchising, cosmetics, fashion and apparel, food and beverages, outdoor and sporting goods, household decor, digital media and more. Find out why now, more than ever, the Pacific Rim offers some of the best prospects for U.S. products and services in these categories.
Understanding how Free Trade Agreements like CAFTA-DR work and anticipating the benefits of the Transpacific Partnership are a crucial part of a Pac Rim export strategy. But any successful exporter needs the latest market intelligence combined with qualified in-market partners with the networks and knowledge to reach consumers in each market. But how does one begin—or expand—in this diverse region?
Exporters can find the answers they need from Seoul to Santiago to Singapore and beyond at Discover Markets: Pacific Rim Consumers. For more information and to register, visit http://bit.ly/discoverpacrim.
