NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, CaroTrans is now offering 11 new, direct LCL (less-than-containerload) import services between China and the U.S.

The new services link Ningbo with Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Miami, Dallas and Houston; and Xiamen with Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

The company “is strengthening its existing China network which consists of its own team in Shanghai and now a new alliance with Portever Shipping Ltd., a local NVO based in Ningbo,” it said in a statement. “With this solid foundation in place CaroTrans plans to continue expanding its direct port pairs between China and the U.S.”

In March, CaroTrans added two Shanghai import services including Seattle and Atlanta. Service is also available from Shanghai to Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Miami.

Altogether, CaroTrans offers over 60 direct China-U.S. LCL import and export services.

“Consistent and frequent LCL services provide the supply chain options and flexibility shippers need today,” said Greg Howard, CEO of CaroTrans.

“With this new cooperation with PortEver, we’re broadening our China-U.S. scope of import services to address the needs of our logistics service provider customers that are looking for alternative service solutions,” he said.

CaroTrans maintains a network of container freight stations and 13 offices in the U.S. and offices in Asia, Europe, South America, and Oceania.
