  • Cargolux has served Vietnam’s largest city since 2007.
  • Since 2013, Cargolux has operated to Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi.
  • Vietnam’s exports include garments, footwear, handicraft, electronics, and seafood.

Cargolux Airlines introduced a third weekly frequency to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on April 14.

The flight is routed via Doha and leaves Luxembourg on Tuesday mornings. The return flight is routed via Singapore and Baku and arrives in Luxembourg on Wednesday evenings.

Cargolux operates two other flights to Ho Chi Minh City, on Thursdays and Fridays. The airline has served Vietnam’s largest city since 2007, supporting the growth of local industries with shipments of general cargo, consumer goods and spare parts. Export commodities include garments, footwear, handicraft and electronics, as well as seafood products and other perishables.

Since 2013, Cargolux has operated to Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi. With the inaugural flight, the airline operated the first ever 747-8F flight to the country’s second largest city, which made Hanoi the 100th airport worldwide to support revenue operations of the 747-8 since its entry-into-service by launch customer Cargolux.

With its expanded service to Ho Chi Minh City, Cargolux once more underlines the commercial importance of Vietnam and acknowledges the growing demand for air cargo capacity in an increasingly important market that is rapidly ramping up its trade and manufacturing industries.
