New Tech Hub Enables Collaboration Among UK and Vietnamese Companies
Harvey Nash Group Announces New Collaboration Tool
Plans for a new tech hub enabling collaboration between UK and Vietnamese technology companies were made public last week.
The announcement was made by the Harvey Nash Group, a London-based IT outsourcing company and the largest foreign investor in the Vietnamese technology sector.
The new digital platform will serve as an environment for UK tech enterprises to meet, share best practices and collaborate with partners from the Southeast Asia’s technology sector. Harvey Nash plans to create and launch the pilot platform in Vietnam in the coming months, with the ambition to extend the initiative to engage other countries in the region.
“As one of the largest technology companies in Vietnam, Harvey Nash believes it is important to lead the way and build on the technology industry’s entrepreneurial drive,” said Paul Smith, chairman of Nash Tech, a division of the Harvey Nash Group. “By developing a new platform that supports and encourages links between the UK and Southeast Asia, we believe the technology communities will find many new ways to interact, trade, and innovate.”
Smith characterized Vietnam as “a huge investment opportunity,” the second most popular investment destination in the Asia Pacific region behind China. The Vietnamese economy grew six percent last year.
Harvey Nash first invested in Vietnam over 15 years ago, and is now the largest foreign investor within the Vietnamese technology sector having built one of the leading technology and business process outsourcing firms in the country.
