Ocean Network Express’ (ONE) CEO, Jeremy Nixon, gave a message to customers ahead of the company launch on April 1, 2018. In the video, Nixon said that “the company will be larger” but “we want to maintain that close focus on the customer, or as we say; ‘Large enough to survive but still small enough to care.’”

ONE is the result of a combination among the container operations of Japanese carriers Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).

ONE launched operations with a global fleet of 250 vessels and a total fleet capacity of 1.4 million TEU.
